Do you want to sleep in a bed, indoors? Gjendesheim lodge is where the festival takes place, and they offer rustic rooms where you can sleep well after a long day.
The size of the rooms differ from 2-4 beds in a room, to dormitories. A bit like summer camp, and very popular by hikers.
Price for food and accommodation
As a festival attendee you get a great deal on meals and lodging at Gjendesheim. You will pay the discounted DNT/Norwegian Trekking Association membership prices for meals and/or lodging.
Book food and accommodation early
The festival site is in the mountains in a remote area at a very popular time of the year for hiking.
For that reason it is very important that you make your booking for accommodation and food as soon as you have bought your festival ticket.

About Gjendesheim lodge
Gjendesheim is the most visited mountain lodge in Norway. Surrounded by majestic Jotunheimen mountains and situated by the scenic lake Gjende at 1000 metres above sea level. The lodge offers easy access to adventures in fantastic mountain surroundings. A blue-green and wonderful playground!
Gjendesheim has a scenic location by the foot of the world famous Besseggen ridge, that Henrik Ibsen wrote about in his play Peer Gynt.
